While care was taken in preparing these MPRs, there may be some typos in the name, especially the middle initial. Some of the original documents were typed with old broken-down manual typewriters with dried-out, over-used typewriter ribbons and some documents are nearly illegible. Nonetheless, we have been successful in locating hundreds of 1/5 Vietnam Vets using these as our source for names.
In the MPRs, question marks were used to show when the information was so blurred that, when re-typing the MPRs, I could only guess the letters or names or, it was so indistiguishable, I could not guess at all so I truncated the name with a question mark.
In certain cases the MPRs may include each Marine's Home of Record (HOR), usually State and County. The states and counties have a number based on ascending order of their alphabetic sequence among the states or, for counties, within their respective state. In some cases, the MPRs include the name of the state and county HOR. The large majority of our 1/5 veterans still live in the state of their HOR.

RTD = Rotation Tour Date HST = Home State
MOS = Military Occupational Specialty
0311 = Rifleman
0331 - Machine Gunner
RK or PG = Rank or Pay Grade
E1 = Private, E2=Private First Class, E3=Lance Corporal, E4=Corporal,
E5=Staff Sergeamt, E6=Gunnery Sergeant, E7=Master Sergeant
